Access to transport e-services using e-ID (Smart-ID/Mobile-ID)

The transport authority in Estonia offers a comprehensive suite of digital services accessible through the national digital ID. This allows residents to manage their transport-related administrative needs entirely online. Users authenticate to the transport administration e-service portal with their personal identification number 1 (PIN1). On successful authentication, they can check the validity and details of their driving license, submit applications for new driving documents or renewals, and manage vehicle ownership and registration records. They can formalize vehicle ownership digitally and sign the transfer document with PIN2, which eliminates the need for physical presence at transport offices.
