Access to civil registration services using e-ID (Smart-ID/Mobile-ID)

In Estonia, civil registration services are available digitally, which include the registration of births, deaths, marriages, and divorces. Estonia digitalized marriage registration in 2022 and divorce registration in 2024, which completed Estonia's fully digital civil status service portfolio. Citizens authenticate with their national e-ID credentials.
