Access to the health insurance fund via e-ID (Mobile-ID/Smart-ID)

The Estonian Health Insurance Fund (EHIF) enables residents to manage their health insurance services digitally through the national health portal. Residents authenticate themselves through the verification code and personal identification number (PIN1) to access a personalized health insurance dashboard. On successful authentication, the user can access services once the validity of health insurance coverage is verified. They can also view the medical bill history paid by the fund, check reimbursement status for medicines and procedures, and review the electronic health record summary.
