Issuance of Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) using NID verification

Bangladesh's National Board of Revenue (NBR) uses the national ID (NID) as the primary identity credential for issuing taxpayer identification numbers (TINs). All TINs issued in Bangladesh are connected with the applicant's NID. TIN registration is accessible online and allows citizens to apply by providing their NID, which is verified through a demographic verification API call to the Bangladesh Election Commission.
