Registration for SIM using NID

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) mandates biometric verification using national ID (NID) for all SIM card registrations in the country. The registration process requires citizens to present their NID at a telecom operator's outlet or authorized agent outlets, where their fingerprint is captured and matched against the NID biometric database managed by the Bangladesh Election Commission.
