Registration for vaccination using NID/BRN

Surokkha app is the primary digital platform for COVID-19 vaccination registration in Bangladesh. The app uses national ID (NID) or birth registration number (BRN) to register citizens. NID credentials are verified through a demographic verification API call to the Bangladesh Election Commission , while BRN verification is handled through the Office of the Registrar General. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare also sent OTPs during the registration process to add a layer of security. Once registered and verified, citizens received vaccination slots at designated centers, and their vaccination status was digitally recorded.
