Access to emergency response using the national digital ID
Senegal experiences significant emergency service delays. It is mainly due to communication gaps, poor location tracking, and weak case prioritization. Studies show that effective emergency management could prevent up to 36% of disabilities and 45% of deaths.
The proposed use case idea suggests a platform to improve response efficiency through a national digital ID and AI. Users can authenticate through their MOSIP-backed national digital ID and select the required service, such as police, medical, or fire support. The system shares the user’s location automatically with responders.
AI-based bots guide users with first-aid steps while they await emergency responders. Users can track response status in real time. The platform also supports direct communication through chat. This platform reduces reliance on verbal descriptions, improves resource allocation, and shortens response time.
