Access to public and private service delivery using the national digital ID
Many citizens in PNG struggle to access essential services because identity checks are unreliable. Records remain fragmented, and manual processes create long queues and repeated registrations. Rural citizens are particularly affected, as they have to travel long distances and carry physical documents that are easy to lose or damage.
This use case proposes a unified digital platform built on SevisPass to streamline service delivery across government agencies and businesses. Citizens authenticate through biometrics-based ID checks and consent-based data sharing on a web and mobile interface. With a verified SevisPass ID, users can access permits, personal records, appointments, social support, and work or financial services.
