Access to financial services using a national digital ID
PNG has low financial inclusion as institutions follow manual verification to provide financial services. Citizens and businesses face fraud and delays as a result of it.
This use case proposes a secure digital ecosystem to address these challenges. The ecosystem includes mobile apps, institutional portals, and API integration. Users create digital profiles using the SevisPass-based biometric verification system. Banks send requests through the bank portal, and users approve data sharing via mobile applications. Verified data enables access to formal credit and lead to financial inclusion.
