Vehicle Registration using ThaID/NDID

Thailand uses ThaID and National Digital ID (NDID) for vehicle registration. Individuals can authenticate their identity through facial verification using the ThaID app or NDID federated login. The system confirms the user’s identity and routes the authentication result to the Department of Land Transport (DLT) portal. The portal then automatically retrieves the individual’s verified personal data. This enables individuals to avail services, such as annual vehicle re-registration, vehicle tax payment, initiation of an ownership transfer, and retrieval of registration certificate status, entirely online.
