Sim Registration (eKYC) via NDID/ThaID

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) mandates that customers link a valid identification (ID) with a SIM when they purchase and register SIM cards in Thailand. During onboarding, service providers verify the customer’s identity information against the central registry, which is maintained by the Department of Provincial Administration (DOPA). This verification is conducted through National Digital ID (NDID) or ThaID using biometric authentication. Upon successful verification, the provider completes the SIM registration process.
