Access to financial data using Singpass and SGFinDex

Singapore Financial Data Exchange (SGFinDex) is a national platform that enables individuals to retrieve and view their financial information from multiple sources, such as banks, insurers, and selected government agencies.

Singpass serves as the primary authentication and consent mechanism, which enables users to authorize the retrieval of data from various institutions in any third-party application. Users can consolidate their financial information into a single view instead of logging into each provider separately.

The financial data may include account balances, loans, insurance policies, and relevant government-held information, such as central provCPF or tax records. SGFinDex itself does not store data; it merely acts as the transmission rail between institutions. As of late 2024, SGFinDex has supported more than 150,000 users and facilitated more than 620,000 data retrievals.
