Bank account opening using NIK and IKD

In Indonesia, residents can open a bank account either in person or remotely through the Identitas Kependudukan Digital (IKD) app. The app facilitates e-KYC through face verification with the resident’s Nomor Induk Kependudukan (NIK) number. Once the resident’s identity is successfully established, the verified details are shared with the bank.
